The collection consists of correspondence; photographs; articles and newspaper clippings; manuscript and commercial audio/visual materials including cassette tapes, VHS tapes, and 33 1/3 sound recordings relating to the singing group Ladysmith Black Mambazo and South African record label, Shifty Records. The materials were collected and created by Doug Seroff from about 1985 to 1993 for his own research and interest.
